These palms are still relatively young. They still have a lot of growing to do.

Roystonea species - Royal Palms are fast, to very fast growing palms...however, they need a tropical to warm subtropical climate to grow and thrive.

Well that's out then........

They don't grow well in pots for long either.

Oh that has answered my next question........

Also, they're very difficult to grow outside a very hot greenhouse when young. Even here in San Diego very small seedling trees can die from continued cool weather outside in winter.

You have certainly put me off now, will stick to the bog standard palms ;+(((

Sorry to put you off...however, Royal palms don't make good house plants.
They also have a very high light requirement.

No probs there are plenty more to choose from lol
