I tired but I called the thai and American customs and could not get a straight answer from either if I could get thru with the seeds, so I decided to clean them and then just try it, they randomly check my bags and would not let them through but I did get 2 cannonball seeds thru and started to grow them!!! They were sprouting and great until a little neighborhood squariel decided the seeds looks good and dig them up and killed them
both :(

I'm very sorry to hear about the papaya seeds and Cannonball tree seedling!
It would have been very interesting to see if the Cannonball tree would grow here. I would assume they may be a bit of a challenge since they are native to the very hot, humid rain forest of Northern South America. However, you never know until you try it.

Those are some beautiful big papayas. Did you find and bring back any seeds? Many of the Thai varieties of papaya grow very well in Southern California.
