Thanks 6d and Louise, never grown them lLouise do they last well in the garden?

I've had them in this garden for 3 years now and they do fine.
Their site's probably the key .... full sun and thin poor soil. They don't even lose all their leaves - even through these last 2 hard winters.
I know i'm further south than you but the past 2 winters really have been way, way colder than the plants are used to here so they can clearly survive temps of -5 !!!

They sound very hardy to survive this winter, think they may find my soil too heavy as its very clayey, which is a pity as they are so pretty and colourful, thanks for your info will look forward to seing them in flower in your garden;0)
