It's great to see the Caryota growing outdoors Andy, we have some good specimens here at Kew growing under glass but its just not the same...

Yes, the leaflets are very fishtail-like. I'll have to do a close up of the leaflets in the future.

Caryota species are very widely grown here. I've posted several very large trees in the past. : > )
