I hope so, David! My first attempt at growing sweet peppers didn't end very well as by the time they started to fruit it was autumn & they didn't come to anything! :-(
I've had better luck with tomatoes, I grow a few plants on the balcony every year & they give me a couple of kilos of fruit!
As I've sown the Peppers & tomatoes earlier this year I hope they will give me more fruit.
I've not grow lettuces since we lived here in the early 80s before going back to Spain in 1982.

The sweet peppers have germinated & have been in our bedroom on a small table since last Sunday. The tomatoes haven't even germinated yet! I've checked them several times, the last time being this morning, but they still show no signs of germinating. The lettuce seeds outside on the balcony have also germinated & are growing well. They will form their first true leaves this coming week.
I bought & sowed some Cucumber seeds a few days ago. I bought a half kilo bag of onion setts as well & I've planted, more or less, half of them in individual small pots. In a few weeks time I'll take them down to the allotment where I'm still in the very slow process of preparing the soil.
I've taken some photos of the seeds that have germinated & the Cucumber seeds, before covering them up as well as the onion setts in their individual pots. In a few weeks time I'll make a blog & put the pics in it.

Thanks, David. I started another blog on the allotment yesterday but I haven't much to put in it for the moment.

The tomato seeds still haven't germinated. I checked them again this morning but no sign of anything. Yet the Sweet Peppers are doing well. I was contemplating putting them outside on the balcony during the day so they get more light but no sooner do I think about it & they go & forecast colder weather for the coming week! Grrr!
The lettuce seeds on the balcony are coming along well. The onion setts look alright at present as well. Now I'm waiting for the Cucumber seeds to germinate. I'll be getting some seed potatoes next week but as I haven't got space at home to chit them they will have to go in the ground as they are.
