Thanks Gee. Usually you wouldn't see the stems at all. With more space it will get fresh and green and put out a good crop of pink tubular flowers. I'm very excited. Its been squeezed for a few years....lol.

Thanks Homebird. I love hangers. I got many from thrift stores because, yes, many have been given away since they aren't in fashion anymore. Any I make aren't quite as nice. I crochet some since its quick and easy. I've started using old plastic grocery bag material to make the string, for recycling. Works pretty well.

I just cut the bag into wide strips so they end up circles I can link together to make a string. It makes a great material. Crocheted recycled shopping bags made into new shopping bags are very popular gifts too. I'll take a shot of my hanger today.
