Do you grow leaf lettuces? I give Clover the prunings from the crabapple tree every spring...he loves the buds and works the bark over with his teeth...lol. I've used moss curled parsley for an edging...have to remove it the second year as it shoots up flowers that produce lots of seed. I have wild rabbits in my back garden and they love the feverfew...it stays green under the snow and they dig it up for a midwinter source of green.

Hello there Lori, happy to meet you and Clover of course! I love feverfew, sadly I haven't seen it anywhere at our garden centres. I used to grow it when I lived in Holland.....the flowers are so pretty.I grow Rapunzel salad, rocket and salad bowl(picking salad) I'll post a pic of the Rapunzel salad which has just come up.I would love to see a pic of Clover...will check your profile later. Our bunnies love twigs from the apricot tree...thats also a treat...and lemongrass..they love it.Best easter greetings to all of you :o)

Hello Waheeda... sorry that I'm only getting to your reply now... I have a pic of Clover but it's pretty far back in my pictures... perhaps I should post an update!! I took some low branches off of the crab apple for him ...he likes the buds best! I don't think that I would miss feverfew... I saw it in a herb catalogue and ordered seed...it looked so lovely...nicely mounded and covered with blossom...it self seeds so readily that it is now coming up in every single garden bed! (and the catalogue neglected to say that the shape was the result of judicious pinching) I'm thankful it's not hard to weed out... not like the ligularia which is giving it a run for it's money! I don't mind plants that some call invasive...I've planted a number of them and I enjoy letting them sort themselves out... lifting and dividing them every 3 to 5 years seems to keep them vigorous...
I think I may try growing lemon grass.. It's a tropical specie though, am I right?
.it's easy to find nice juicy fresh clover for clover's breakfast now... when it blooms he becomes picky and will only eat the blossom...

Good morning.....its morning here Lori....great hearing from you again....I'll definately look for Clover in your profile.Ps Floppsy and Mopsy are also enjoying the clovers.About the lemongrass...you have to be patient...i have mine potted up in well drained soil....kept moist...with sufficent water in the tray.Sometimes I buy lemongrass stalks at the grocer and pop them into water....it roots in a very short time. But its more reliable to get plants from the garden centres....you should try orange grass too.Regards, Waheeda

Ah...yes! I should look for it when I do my shopping. Every once in a while I take a drive out to the nursery...just to see what's new... maybe they have lemongrass. I should ask. Orange grass? is it high in vitamin C, like parsley?
