Acer budding.....

mine to Dan, a bit worried if we are to have another cold spell this week, same with my salix tree, not sure if i should cover them

Lovely fat buds. I think Salix should be OK, Sanbaz, they survive flood and everything else thrown at them in my garden :) I have had a tiny one (from Ebay) in a small pot all winter (I must admit I had forgotten about it) and it is just bursting into life.

Nah, Mine have been open to the elements all winter. Only covered my Cordy's and will probably unwrap them after this frost/snow potentially due in this week.
