Rock garden

Photo taken in October 2009; the first year of my rock garden. Sadly I lost my 'sago cycad' after the severe winter even though I covered it with the transparent dome. Clearly my little thing was too young to be planted outside. Silly me. Sorry babe! Also, I covered the yucca with plastic in December but I'm not sure it's dead or alive because it was his (her?) first winter outdoor's too. Fingers crossed. Now I'm busy thinking about planting alternatives such as ginger and spiky agave in April. Exciting.

Thank you Lincslass. I'm going to plant a cordyline australis too.
