~ There was a little wren flitting about in and out of the flowers and twining branches but wasn't quick enough!

This is really lovely Arlene..we lost ours to the hard frosts...may try again next year

~ thinking about it for most of the nasty weather we had a heater going just inside the greenhouse and I covered everything outside with fleece so maybe some of that escaping heat was put to good use!
~ don't give up until you know it is really and truly gone as I have had some surprising rebirths from totally dead looking plants.....

~ I will try to take a cutting too Jane,still got some Clonex from Caz Rubber plants which are doing really well~ I usually just put seemingly empty pots to one side and give them about 6 weeks or so before reading last rites and throwing out...

I can imagine, this beautiful clematis attracts loads of little visitors. I bet the scent is wonderful!!
