So many casualties of this last winter.Fear we have lost our 3 year old "hardy" fuchsia Hawkshead which was behind the bench by the pond.Have cut it back to nearly base in the hope new growth may emerge later...was/is one of our favourites......

I think two of my big Fuchsia Magellanica alba have 'snuffed it' too, Bonkers but a third is shooting well.

One out of three aint bad ! Sadly we too had bought a small fuchsia Magellanica in late autumn...intending to plant it out this spring,but....yes you guessed right ...caught out by frosts in uhheated small greenhouse ! Next autumn anything tender in pots is coming indoors !

I think the red/purple ones have had it too, Bonkers. They're in the ground too. Oh well, a gap to put something else.

One success story...our year old prunus "Kojo No Mai ( like Hywels) looked to be dead..then last week saw tiny leaves forming on the stems ! YES !

I know...ours is only six inches high too ! A little toughie considering all the frosts and heavy snowfalls we had !
