Corydalis solida Penza Strain - 2010 (Corydalis solida)

Small bulbous plant for woodland conditions. The 'Penza Strain' is from a Latvian nursery and should self-sow to give a variety of white, blue, and red shades in the future

Megan - mine are planted in clay improved with garden compost so it would be worth trying

There is masses of C.solida in the woodland garden at Kew.It's considered a weed by the gardeners who work there, but I like it. It looks good with the Chionadoxa. I'll try to remember to post a picture on my next blog.

They are lovely plants - I'm a bit worried about digging them up by accident, though...do you mark where yours are?

I just tuck them somewhere which will be covered later in the season - next to fuchsias for example
