No - I found it at the Rare Plant Fair - shouldn't it be planted out, Bjs?

Its an old european Auricula cross it main requirement would be sharp drainage a Trough woulde be better, however if you have good drainage it may be ok

I'll look after it in the ground, as there's no room in the alpine trough at all. I'll sprinkle some grit around it. The soil is well drained, so fingers crossed. Thanks for the infprmation. :-))

I've found a website that calls Primula x pubescens 'Boothman's Variety' Garden Auricula 'Boothman's Variety' so they may be quite closely related?

It is one and the same Wagger the pubescens bit refers to garden hybrids between the wild Primula Auricula and Primula Hirsuta of which there are many.Your Free Auriculas will probably be loosley Show Auriculas the cultivation of them is quite different and would not last long in the open ground. They are a pet subject having grown them for 30 + years dont know a much else.LOL

Well, I learn something every day on here. I'm not expecting very much from these, Brian - they were sent to me in error by T&M's growers and T&M told me to keep them. I'll put photos of them on when they flower and you can let me know how dreadful they are, lol.
