That looks great, Amy. You've planted your Sorbaria Sem quicker than me - mine is still in its pot!

Lovely , great when you have a new area to fill isn't it, I've had three lavateria shrubs die over the winter, don't really mind as have a few more dotted about, the cold was bound to kill some things, excited as have some spaces to fill with something different:-)

We have the same problem , in that several trees and shrubs have died but like you say Kathy it's fun deciding what to put in next ...

How will you get it out Dawn , we have a large Pittosporum to come out , we use to pull troublesome trees and shrubs out with the 4x4 but we can't get it round there because the beds are growing and getting in the way ..LOL...

I'm pleased you finally planted your shrub Gee ;o)
Thanks Suey ..

Hi Amy, John cut the tree down about 5 years ago, it was quite a big one, the stump must be about 18 inches in diameter or a bit bigger. We've been getting the fungus like you and I wanted it out. So we hired a mini digger last week, John dug around the base to about 3 feet down and would you believe its bigger below ground than above. No way would the digger tackle it so John says he'll have to attack it with the chain saw and chopper.

Thats a big job Dawn he must be very careful and take every precaution with his eyes etc. we don't want him doing himself any damage ... like Tony did last xmas .. it happens so quickly .. ..

Hmmm, I'll have to warn him. However, when he cut the tree down initially, I didnt even know he was doing it as I was at work, naughty boy. Luckily the tree fell the right way, these men, tut. By the way, I like your sleepers amongst the stone, are they sleepers or slabs?

Thats how Tony had his accident when he was by himself Dawn , they take risks !!
The sleepers are slabs but they look very realistic , our daughter had some we were impressed with them at the time when she bought them .....

They are great Amy and more practical. I've seen them too, they are really realistic, love them.
