Does it seed everywhere like the common Carex?

I haven't discovered any babies, but now you've said that, I'll keep my eyes peeled. :-))

It never did for us and we had it many years........

Sorry, Wagger...can't help it!

I don't want any - I inadvertantly planted a tiny piece of ordinary Carex with another bought in plant and have been trying to get rid of it ever since - over ten years! I was concerned this might have the same bad habits.

Wagger was it Carex Pendula by any chance, we had to get it out with an axe, and like you still coming up 10 years later.....

I was warned about that one - I thought it looked like a lovely plant, but my friend said DON'T. So I didn't! I'm glad about that, hearing that you had to resort to an axe, Dd!

Yes, it was, Daisy. Think the seeds must be like poppies - viable for 100 years.

I'm glad I didn't plant that! ;-)))))
