I also notice that there seems to be a lot of Bumble Bees this year, and early too. I have also noticed there seems to be more ladybirds about.
I had to rescue a Bumble Bee that came into the conservatory. He (or she) got stuck in a bit of a web at the bottom of the door and the next thing a big spider came dashing out and tried to grab him. I managed to grab him (not with my hands) before he was dragged away and gobbled up. I told the spider he could not have him as they are our little friends. The spider was not impressed!

Not seen any since this one, strange isn't it San...such a cold winter yet insects seem to be in abundance this year. Good thing though.... I just wish they wouldn't spray our fields....

i think wildlife must sence the cold coming so burry themselves deeper or make warmer homes for winter, i agree about spraying fields

Yea, they are about early, I have noticed that too, plus loads of bumblebees buzzing about, I thought they were scarce.
