This is magic who the wildlife area has been made for. I now have her ashes and she will once again enjoy the sun, the birds singing and the butterflies flying around her

i miss her terribly Maureen. This is the main reason I have created the wildlife area. Magic used to love being with us in the garden, watching the birds, chasing the butterflies and trying to eat the bees! Stupid dog!!! Your grasses have got pride of place thank you! Magic used to eat grass when she had a tummy ache! So i'll watch out for teeth marks lol

~ not got photo yet Pauline but will get one for you~solid grey/black marble about an inch thick, A5 size on a really strong black metal support and stake~ beautifully done~ not sure of the price as Caz wouldn't say, but hopefully not too expensive.

Thank you Arlene. My daughter Caroline, who I call Caz! Paid for the cremation and everything. She wouldn't tell me how much it cost either. So I think it must have been quite a lot. But the vet, the nurse and everyone involved were lovely. And worth every penny

TT your are so right!!!. I am just waiting for the Christmas roses to arrive (Mag was born on christmas day) and some Magic fountains(delphiniums) to go into this area as well, then it will be complete. Magics ashes will be buried under her favourite tree and then she can rest in peace.

DRC I keep turning around in the garden thinking Magic's dug up one of my plants and carried it to another area of the garden. She used to do this, it was quite funny!! and annoying at times. But I'd give anything to see her do it again.

My german sherperd was 13 & 1/2 when she died, that was about 14yrs ago and still miss her, but at that age they have done extremely well, my thoughts are with you.

Lovely girl, she'll enjoy her resting place.
When I lost my Lab 4 years ago my landlord let me bury her here on the farm. She is under an Oak Tree, which gets the sun all day, from rising to setting.

Thank you Clarice. Magic was in pain I had no option. Her legs went and she could hardly walk and she had that look on her face that said I can't take any more. It was the kind thing to do.

Potty under an oak tree sounds nice. Magic will have lots of plants with her name in them.

My Sheba landed up with Cancer and she had terrible arthritis, plus like you say the poor german sherperds back legs is always a problem for them.

Your wildlife area will be perfect for Magic......x

Lovely idea. My back garden is practically all wildlife area. Our dog, Elsa, (who was with us from 1977-93) is buried in one corner, our (more recent) cat, O'Reilly is in another corner. Even our son's rabbit (1990-97) has his resting place.
You don't necessarily need a big garden for vegetables. Growing them in containers (ref. blog), is a great space-saving idea and gives you more control over their conditions. JB

We've got an assortment of animals buried in the garden. rabbits, fledgelings, hamsters. But I'll be totally honest I miss Magic the most as I had her nearly 14 years

~lovely photo ~ I am sure she would be very happy with it~
my daughter has had a special marble stone plaque with a photo which will be put close to where our two boxers are buried~ they too are where the sun will shine on the grass and the birds sing, with bulbs planted and it does a little bit to take away the pain~hope you are feeling much better now~
