My Holy Wall...

This used to be the end of a patch of gravel - I hated the whole gravel area and didn't much care for the concrete of the wall so I started to soften it all up a bit with all kinds of plants to see what would take and it's beginning to take shape now. Looking at the photo now I can see the wall has been a good design feature to show off the plants.

I like the wall too. What is it that's growing up the wall?

There's honeysuckkle, variegated vinca and clematis - I saw a tip about spraying the wall with fertiliser and tried it last week - the plants seem to have liked that and are taking off on the other side too...
At the base there you can just see the blue flowers of the Vinca and I've also got a couple of hostas growing further out from there.

Never heard that tip before, Clematisa, I suppose it would work with fences too?

I'm giving it a go on my new fences, anything's worth a try! And if it just runs down to the soil then it will give the area a boost anyway, I guess.
