He looks like a lovely gentle boy

Yes, he was a lovely dog, never really any trouble at all. He loved walks and cuddles, never bothered with other dogs and unlike his 2 sons, never ran away to chase girls! He used to sit at the bottom of the stairs and look at me as much to say 'they've gone again Mam!' He did have his moments though, I'm sure he ate the goldfish when he was about 2, we never found it and there was no obvious smell of decay in the house; he also ate a whole cooked joint of beef one day, even when I thought I'd put it well out of his reach. Talk about "your dinner's in the dog!!!" It was that day!

You made me laugh about the joint of beef. I remember my dog Lady who had 11 pups and the vet said to give her milk and bread afterwards. When I tell you I had a chicken defrosting on the draining board I bet you can guess the rest. She ate the lot (raw) and the pups were scrabbling about on the floor chasing the bag of giblets! They are certainly our special friends and I love my Dylan and Aflie (Dylan is 12 and Alfie just 9 weeks). They make life special don't they......:o)
