Me too! I bet you felt really chuffed with this Annella. I love the trees and shrubs in May, all the different colours of new growth. Photinia is looking great down at the bottom and the trees look wonderful!

Annella, I bought a Ceanothus today, quite a big one , so expensive, but I really don't have the patience for a small one!! Ceanothus Concha...it looked like it would be hardier than most and says hardy on the label. It has the tiny dark leaves and the tight blue flowers. I think it will be fine. Planting it in a nice sunny warm spot and it will hide the other half of one of the houses!! Thanks for your help!

Karen I don't blame you buying big, It's nice to have that instant impact especialy when you're going for a little more privacy. I like Concha :-))

It seemed to be the toughest one! I like the light and airy variegated one that's all the rage just now!

I do to, but I find it hard to place in my garden.The small variegated leaves seem to get lost in the other foliage. On the patio I'm looking down from high up so need big statements or you just can't see them :-)))

Yes, and if it's not as hardy either.....I'm going to stick with tough things more now...fed up when things die!

I am a novice at all this gardening lark. Having only moved into my home less then 2 years ago, i spent a year seeing what there was growing - brambles and weeds!! I have stripped it back to a blank canvas and ready to start my quest for a garden as beautiful as yours. I like the secluded element to it. So i'll be paying attention to what is happening in your garden and seeking advice.
