thanyou Terra. because of thecold winter some plant are a bit later giving nice combination. The dark tulip queen of the night is usually the last to flower but this year all the tulips are flowering at the same time

Thanks Grandmage, San. There used to be a flowering cherry where the birdbath is, it was lovely at this time of year and I would put the babies pram underneath, but it got canker and we had to remove it, such a shame

Just love the different greens of the shrubs., just the right backdrop for all the new flowers - I do think this is the most exciting time of the year.

now i have prolific oriental poppy buds, some have burst and lots waiting in the wings.

I try to get at least a few plants in flower right through to late in the year, a garden should never be static

Yes I agree, part of the wonder and excitement of gardening, some times it steals your breath away.
