Thanks Mageth, yes I believe it is at least as old as the house - the house was built in 1906! Its not doing so well anymore some bits have died unfortunately.

Wow! Ive seen similiar at Batemans in East Sussex and The Priests House in west sussex. You have a bit of gardening history Lauren. The RHS may be able to give advice about looking after such a grand old lady!
