Ceonothus last summer

This Ceonothus grew from a Sainsbury's £2.99 bag in 5 years. I have found them all to be quick growing although my Concha is more restrained

I cut away all the bottom branches. It has a very thick trunk now :-))

This is what I have done with mine Annella, it looks like a tall standard now, instead of a large shrub, which was at least 5 feet across or more.

I love Ceonathus. Both of mine have died after the frosts this winter :-(

Are you sure they are really dead Reebees, mine look brown but I think they may come back to life...

Ours is half dead, evergreen Ceanothus are not long living plants, better to buy the deciduous ones.

I have just been given 1 by my neighbour, cannot decide where to place it
i have 1 already in my garden, climbing over a low wall.... the 1 have now is called `thyrsiflorus, it grows to 50cm....yours is huge almost a tree...cannot believe how big it has grown in 5 years...you got quite a bargain there Annella..
