Well it's Blue Angel in fact, which I think is a paler blue than Cambridge Blue. Thanks for thinking about me. I'm really looking forward to them flowering, such beautiful plants! :-)

Thanks for offering, but I've got about 50 Blue Angels knocking about here now and I'm having a job to find homes for them all LOL I'm not sure how different the two varieties are....hopefully I will have seed from these in the summer and you are welcome to try some Blue Angel if you like?! lol

Thanks for the offer Sid but Like you i'm having problems with the space , actually the Cambridge Blue came in two different colours last year a lighter and a darker blue , my neigbour argued with me that I had two different ones but I knew I hadn't because they were all cuttings that I had taken myself ... :-)

How strange..... I bought a S. microphylla at a car boot a while back. (It was supposed to be 'Hot Lips', but i dont think it is). Anyway, some flowers are deep intense red and others are pale red/pink.....think it might have something to do with being a bit potbound and not enough water tho.

Mmm maybe we are cultivating new varieties that nobody else has ever seen ...LOL...

That is Silybum marianum AKA Blessed Mary's Thistle. It's an annual or biennial and is a handsome plant, but you should be careful not to allow it to spread it's seeds around as it can become invasive and is hard to pull out for obvious reasons - ouch!
