I spotted this guy at the edge of my property where the property transitions into the farm field. Not sure what it is but the bloom structure is fascinating! What a cool looking flower..

Very pretty, the narrow leaves look a bit like Perennial Wallflowers?

I have always wondered what defines a plant as a "weed".
I have spotted several native plants that look quite beautiful around here that grow wild and my wife says "don't you dare transplant one of those". {grin}
I know that a lot of plants can be quite invasive, but I'm still puzzled at the definition of what a "weed" is.
I have heard that if a plant pulls out of the soil easily it was probably a desirable plant. {chuckle}

I think of a weed as something I dont want but it invades everything, but next door may love it!

A weed is a plant in the wrong place. This wild flower is lovely. It looks a bit like a spike of sage flowers.
