This lasts several weeks and sometimes has a few flowers again later in the summer. But you need to deadhead it when the flowers finish or you'll get a lot of seedlings. I cut it down just as the last flowers are going over

Sixpence - no, this is a perennial. It needs a moist soil but will take sun or part shade. Reaches two to three feet in height. There are also varieties with pink and deep red flowers
