Great. What type of paint did you use on these, please?

Fascia and soffit paint I think? It was a while ago. Apparantly It's a great way to grow potatoes. You can just keep adding a tyre as you earth them up (thats where I got the Idea from). Remember to lift them up a bit to give adequat drainage. Mine have got some bits of wood underneath. Also they do get warm so bare that in mind.

Many Thanks for the paint info. Have read somewhere about this idea for growing potatoes - good one! Also, Thanks for adding the reminder re drainage. I do think that we might well try potatoes this way next year - will "tread" carefully with regard to the heat and drainage! ;-)
