Yes I have several Spiraea David and this is my favourite and it looks similar to BW in the way it falls

have compared it to the photos on here and yes david it is bridal wreath, its so pretty, thank you both, i love this site, i have no clue am slowly learning.

I used to have this, but lost its blooms by pruning back - at the totally wrong time. Aaaargh! Now, if only I'd had this site, I'd have asked first! We're always learning, Clairey. :-))

I am very wary of pruning this, but not really sure why David? Once I did prune it and it lost a lot of its lovely waterfall effect for 2-3 years.

Mine just got too large for its space, Drc, and was blocking the path to the door. We were fed up getting wet when brushing past it. it did lose its blooms for 2 years. in year 3 we moved house. Perhaps it did bloom again, eventually. Will never know, now. :-))

i did exactly that to my lilac but am not sure you would call it pruning, it looked dead when i moved in, before i joined this website, i thought i was doing a good thing, now i have a very green lilac :o(
