It reminds me of furry tails - the flowers are really big!

You'd have a job, Grindle - I staggered around Malvern with it last Autumn, and it's even bigger since then! I 'think' someone might notice you with it...LOL.
Homebird, I'm surprised - I think that all the Carex plants I have do flower, and at about this time of year, as well!

Found it! Go to my blog archive - Winter Interest part 5 'Grasses' written in December 2009, and it's the first photo. If you look you'll see a skimmia top right - that gives an idea of the size of this!!!!
