Oh welcome to Essex. When we moved in I put 4 troughs and solar lights outside to make it a nice welcome and only lasted a week. Stolen by gypsy's who live about 6 houses up the road YES, IN THE SAME STREET!! They also nicked next doors window boxes and had the nerve to put them on there window at the front. Bloody cheek of it. Our troughs are in the back garden.
Police said they can go up there and arrest them but warned of the backlash. I.E. Car keyed or brick through window and as we've got a 4 year old and rented property thought it aint worth the hassle. Now just created a mini border outside and gone straight in the ground and so far 2 months down the line there all still there.

I think thats terrible, and they are allowed to get away with it, thats so wrong, in other words the police are giving them permission to steal.

Know what your saying but they were just advising on the potential backlash that Gypsy's can do! Doesn't make it right though!

sorry Avril I lost count, grow begonias now as the impatients all became deceased one year and lost the lot within a week, I must admit these did look beautiful, and thank you for your lovely comment, glad you have taken a look,
