this is my larger acer which is a few years old now. was only a small shrub when i bought it. if my memory serves me well i only paid about £2-49 for it. i've been snipping here and there over the years to try and train it into a bit of a standard because it was growing low and we couldn't see the plants underneath it and by doing this i've given myself more planting space. The smaller one to the left is also an acer but potgrown.

I love this Acer, but there I love all Acers especially the palmatums. they are so delicate looking and yet so hardy. In the autumn the colours on the leaves are stunning. Where we live, we suffer from light and strong winds and it withstands the lot, and when there's a breeze the leaves look like feathers.
