persicaria red dragon common name knotweed, it grows in most soil types and is liked for its attractive leaf rather than flowers, forms a nice clump so they say , hope that helps girlies ;o))

I have this in my tropical borders san, Love it, I could of sent you one :) if you want more, when it gets bigger (and it will) just cut bits off and pot them up, really easy. It doesen't mind being cut back, It gets small white flowers too but there not very nice, the leave's are the stars, and when the sun shines through them, WoW...

It grows very fast san, up and out, i love the way it grows through other plants, as i said, it doesen't mind being cut back once it gets going, pot the cuttings up and before you know it, you have loads of red dragons to find homes for lol. gonna give mine a trim tomorrow..

You could have had some of mine San ! it is hardy , I love the leaf colouring , you will need some twigs to support it when it gets taller it tends to flop a bit especially after rain .... :-)
