Astrantia Major

This is something I'm looking to buy at the min but haven't seen any localy. Nice new avatar :-))))

Thanks Ann, I was getting bored with the old one, and now I have a bit of a tan! ;)))))

I had Friday off last week so nice long weekend, brilliant weather so had time to sunbathe on Saturday and garden :-)))

Sunbathe?....oh yes, Saturday...that was back in the summer! ;))

Friday was fantastic here,like being abroad but Sunday was all thunder and lightning :-))

Nothing so exciting here, just cloudy days and one sunny Saturday!

Thought it looked a bit like 'Shaggy' but can't be sure, mines not open yet.

You're right Louise, my Shaggy just starting to open today and no pink on it, sorry Karensusan.

This 'could' be Buckland, i've a picture of it My Garden.

Hi I dont think this is shaggy, it should not have any pink on it, lovely flower .

Had a look at Crocus website and think it could just be plain old Astrantia Major....

I think so, too, probably...but there 'is' quite a lot of pink, more than on A. major??

Definitely Astrantia major - Carol Klein showed a good clear photo of one in an article i've just read. Just like yours, in fact! :-))
