This looks great, the dark wood against the brickwork really stands out, I love it!

wow, very kind thank you all. As soon as the rain stops and the wood has dried out, I will get back to finishing the staining

I always think that having different levels in a garden somehow brings it to life. Are those trees and tall shrubs in your garden or the other side of the fence.

Thanks stroller, everything is in my garden except the yellow laburnham on the right, although i have now trimmed that back and is no longer in flower. Next doors have a similar tall shrub just next to that with lovely white flowers (now in bloom) so has changed the look yet again. Its nice to borrow other peoples plants...... the yucca has been put inside the pond enclosure now, am still mulling over planting around the pond so still a mess. Once its sorted, i will upload an update pic

this is lovely! only just found it ~ does it look very different now?

Thank you, Sticky. It doesnt look ever so different. I eventually finished all the blacking, I put the huge yucca within the pond fencing so toddlers don't run into the hard spikes. The lovely silver heart has gone rusty so I must remedy that somehow. I'm glad you like it. Once I'm more on top of things, I will find an update pic. There's still so much to do in the garden. My health is letting me down. I literally 'bimble' about with things, will hopefully find a fifth gear at some point....

i could do with a fifth gear ~ if you find one, let me know where you get them!!!
i like that word bimble ~ never heard it before but i think i know what you mean!!
there seems to be loads to do in the garden all of a sudden and if i thought about it too much it would be really daunting!
i hope you will feel on the mend soon and able to do your gardening again.

I'm next in line to Sticki for that fifth gear...have to find 1st gear though! I'm kindof in "idle" or "neutral" too much these days! lol
Your patio area is looking very nice...one "bimbler" to another...you've got a nice place to sit and ponder in any case, Mh. lol
