I'm really getting into Campanulas, and this is another one on my wish list.
It's lovely.
Were you laying on the floor to take this photo, or is it quite tall?!?

Ah, glad you like Mozart B!! It's one of the few operas i can actually listen to and not have to watch it to enjoy it!.....actually all Mozart's are like that aren't they?! :))

What! In this weather, Meanie? lol. No - I just bent over. It's about a foot tall, I suppose, maybe a little more.

Sorry Karen - I was answering Meanie. Yes - I love Mozart, but 'The Magic Flute' is definitely top of the list. All of it, but the 'Queen of the Night' aria best of all. :-))))) I'll be humming it all night now!

Good luck with that then! :S eek, eek, eek, eek, eek, eek, .....you'll have a sore throat again! ;)

It isn't fair - I can sing, but our daughter has a beautiful voice and sings opera, and she can reach those top notes apparently with ease! Wish I could. :-((

blimey! not many can hit a top G!! I certainly never could, but I was more of a Pamina!
9 Jun, 2010
I bought a Jap. Anemone called 'Pamina' last autumn - but I suspect it is no more. :-((( Do you think 'they' realised the significance of the name??

I don't think you could call this campanula Sarastro and not think it was a very serious, dark, mysterious chatacter!! Do you? I think whoever named it was a fan of the flute like us!
9 Jun, 2010
I'd love to know, Karen....but I suspect you're right. :-)))
I'm 'taking five' before I dash back out again to meet and greet our NZ visitors! Must go and change out of my rather muddy jeans.
Clouds piling up here...fingers crossed!

I have to say, this plant is well named after the character in The Magic Flute. It looks like it would sing Bass-Baritone!! :))
