Peltophorum pterocarpum - Yellow Poinciana Flowers

Is this Mimosa as I know it?? Lovely.

This not a Mimosa tree. This species of Peltophorum is native to coastal areas from Sri Lanka through the Malay archipelago and Indonesia to northern Australia.

The flowers are very sweetly fragrant also.

Lovely looking flowers they stand out well against the green leaves ...
