These pretty flowers were everywhere on the road side. Last year when my neighbour said this was a "wild orchid", I thought "come on, this can't be an orchid." But this year when I looked closely, I noticed each flower had the distinct shape unique to an orchid and I fell for it. Just adorable :)

I'm afraid I have no idea. It has only a few short (3-5cm) thin (1cm) leaves and some short roots which are not hard/tough. In this picture the colour is rather pale in the sun but buds are darker, more like dark pink. I'll upload another picture in a little vase, although it is not a good photo. The length of the flower clump is about 6-10 cm; kind of tiny.

Thank you Moti and Simbad :) I googled 'Dactylorhiza' and found a similar plant in Wikipedia. I'm not sure but 'Pyramidal orchid' looks very similar to this one.
