oh thank you yorkshire, but i just put it in a pot, and let it grow, i have been giving it plenty of water this year and also a bit of miracle grow but not since its been flowering :^)

this has to go on my favs, I keep looking at it.

These are just beautiful. I was listening to Gardener's Question Time on the Radio 4 and I remember him telling someone how to achieve these doubles. For the life of me I can't remember. What do you do your your to make them this good. Well done Daylily.

Hi susie2shoes, i dont think ive done anything, although it is about 3-4 years old so has been in the same pot awhile, i gave it a little miraclegrow feed earlier on in the season but thats about it, maybe it is because it is a few years old,but when i first had it i only had singles and then i think the following year i had doubles and was very surprised, but have since read that it does have both doubles and single flowers in one season X :^)

Hi Daylily,I agree with you this is a beauty. I have one of these clematis and I have found the same as you .I planted it last year and had single blooms, but this year the first 2 buds to open were doubles but all the others have been singles. I put a saucer against the doubles and the saucer was just a fraction bigger than the bloom. They sure are one to buy arn't they. Do you prune yours Daylily?

hi linsuffolk, yes i cut it back in the spring to new growth, i even think i cut it back a bit later than normal this year probably april, i think i really noticed the flowers this year but have been taking alot more notice of the garden this year because we neglected it the last two years due to having extension built and new patio, so its our project at the moment trying to get into some order and shape X :^)
