Funny how flowers when in bud are a different colour than when opened out.

Roses particularly. Some of them get darker with age - Hywel has a hydrangea paniculata that starts off white and changes through pink to dark red. It's stunning!

It's only about 2 inches in diameter when fully open, Homebird but I do love the colour.
