I have one in a tub thats been open and in flower for some time San but it was in bud for a long while I didn't take note of how long sorry !

Hi San....once thebud splits and shows a bit of colour it usually opens with the next good bit of sun...well ours did last year and we have one split bud now.Trouble is its cold wet and windy here today....hoping for better tomorrow !

thanx jane, one bud is showing white and other still tight, so im hoping the one showing white is getting ready to open with some hot sun ;o)) sorry you have had wet day jane, sunny but really chilly wind here

I noticed today that my first bud has appeared - they need to see the sun through the water to flower and yours is very clear so hopefully this will be the first of many.
