Ha ha Carol, I dont think they bite.

I'm ok if they leave me alone, not very keen on spiders & daddy longlegs either.

Its frogs and snakes that frighten me a bit, I dont mind spiders. We've been dogged by horse flies today, they really give a nasty bite.

Sometimes we get sandfly's here.

Lovely picture Dawn , pretty colour, never looked that closely at them.

Yours is a different colour to ones I have mine are green wonder if they are the same ones changing colour.

Great pic Dawn....that reminds me of why I woke at 4.30 this morning....some horrid black beetle flew past my ear....I was dreaming of helicopters then jumped up quick...........ugh!!

I've been bitten on my leg it's coming up like a huge blister and itching like mad .. I'm trying hard not to scratch it .. ;o(

I also have been bitten twice Amy but it was Mosquito's, I came to a close call looking at plants my daughter noticed it in the shop it was a Mosquito with pink legs, and now none of my bites won't stop itching had them for 3 weeks now and still itches.

He's a handsome fellow. Of all the beetles there are their shield is the most beautifully decorated. Unfortunately all insects bite. What a pity you haven't found any rain beetles we certainly need some.

I thought this beetle wasnt very green Six. The bugs always enjoy biting me, I think some must be mosquitoes but I get some really nasty ones that end up with a crusty yellow top, sorry you've been bitten Amy and Six, like you say, itch like mad, especially in the night. Those horse flies are nasty though, I've been covered in insect repellent today.

Yes avoid horse fly bites I agree they are bad.
