Penstemon 'Sunburst Amethyst'

Lovely dark one, we lost so many last winter.....

This is nice....Its my first year growing Penstemon.....

Oooh! Motinot - you have treats to come, then! I love these plants - and yes, I had casualties last winter, but only some of the new ones in the island bed...plus one new one in the front garden...boo-hoo...:-((

This one has smaller leaves, and they do seem to be hardier.....

Love the colour of this one, I lost Sour GrapesAnd a lovely crimson and white one, havent replaced them but will be interested to know if this one is hardy [hope so!]

My 'Sour Grapes' was hit - but it has a flower...only one, so far.

Try the Pentemon elgar type if you come across any - they sailed through the winter! They have small leaves. A Nurseryman told me that the small-leaved ones are hardier - and they do seem to be!

I haven't got a Garnet at the moment....LOL....I didn't take cuttings, and my plant looked woody and leggy, so I chucked it out. I must make a note to get another one at some point.
