Ahhhh, the wall. It's taken 18 months and more money than I care to think about to get there, but it's getting there!

It reminds me of where we used to live in Spain, with all the dry stone walling...it was old stone there though at the edges of the terraces.......

This is old stone - most of it was taken from a fallen down barn and old walls about the place.! It's the same stone as the house, so it all blends in well,

I had old stone walls in my last house , a very pretty old cottage but not enough bedrooms, I miss it and think my my gardens now are based on the old one :-))))))

Probably, it's a bit like interior design (in an exterior way)! Wherever you live and when you move, you carry a sort of blueprint around with you and recreate the things you like! I think I would have loved your old house and garden, your new one is pretty spectacular! It must have been one hell of a wrench leaving and starting your garden from scratch though. Take my hat off to you!
