Sandra: Timber is so expensive isnt it, my arch is a metal one and hoping to get clematis and roses growing.

yes i didnt realise dawn either, but think im still going to have one, clematis and roses sounds lovely ;o))

In hindsight Sandra and following advice from a GOYer, a wooden arch would be better than metal, stronger.
