Thanks PP, San, and Lily, yes its perfume is divine.
The leaves are the best they have ever been, not a sign of the sooty mould It had last year.

That sooty mould is so unsightly, I get it on my Camellias. How do you get rid of it?

Well the repotting appears to have helped but I also kept spraying the leaves at the start of the season, my Camellias get it too.

What do you spray with?

Well Lily I started off being all organic ie soapy water and all that, and scraping it off, till I got fed up and bought Fungus Clear !
I think the secret is to do it on a regular basis----- didn't do it on the Camellia (too big) and that has still got the sooty mould.

Val, hope you don't mind if I butt in here -but I posted a question on why my jasminum officinalis ' Fiona Sunrise ' appears to have stopped growing ! It was planted a year ago, started off well, supposed to be climbing a garden arch, now the top growth is going brown and it's reached about 3 ft. in a year, pathetic really ! Any clues as to why ? Thanks.

Ahhh bless you Shirley, I'm not really an expert on Jasminums, or anything else for that matter, I just pick things up as I go along. Mine has done well this year because I pruned its roots and repotted. Is yours in a pot ?
If the top is going brown i would chop it out anyway.
I do know mine took a while to get going, so do not give up hope. sorry can't help any more ,maybe some one will read this and offer advice.

Thanks, Val, I planted it directly into the ground, at the base of a new arch with a Honeysuckle the other side. The Honeysuckle is thriving and has climbed to about 4ft. but the jasmine seems to have stopped ! Thanks for your comment, I'll wait and see if any other members comment before doing anything else. Methinks it'll be for the chop .... : o )))

Yes Val I used to rub it off with soapy water but now the Camellias have far too many leaves for that so maybe time to get out the Fungus Clear. It only seems to affect the older leaves which eventually fall off anyway so as long as it's not too unsightly I've been ignoring it. Out of sight is out of mind if I take my specs off!
