Flowering Gum is commonly planted here along freeways and in parks and as street trees. It's available in many flowering colors: red, orange, pink, white, and more. Photo taken July 5, 2010.

How hardy if at all are they and can they be kept pruned to a relatively small size ?

Sorry to tell you this...but these trees are very tender to cold and prefer not to be grown in a pot.

We do have a few corymbia around here, but none with those orange flowers!!!
