The bottom garden border

As much as I love gardening..I could never have it looking as neat as yours...Absolutely beautiful...I am trying to work out what sort of garden I have ended up with...I would like to know it looks like a cottage garden.....as I love cottage gardens...with nooks and crannies...

Michaella, thank you. This only looks neat because I had cut the grass and edged it. I lop off bits of plant that are hanging too far over the lawn, when left for a few days it looks like a jungle again!!! I didn't cut the grass for 2 weeks as it was so dry, but now I have it will go brown again :-)))
I love nooks and crannies + trying to get plants to grow in them.
