I can agree with you but not with you being late though. lol. : > )
Bottle brush blooms off-and-on all year here....however, they're very, very messy trees.

I remember one of the goy Aussie ladies saying the same thing last year.

Palmate:
Not sure how tall your tree is...however, many of the trees around here are 30 - 65 feet tall, depending on species.

They usually grow to 6 ft in this country, but we prune ours to keep it in shape.

My neighbor has a 25+ foot/ 8+ meters tall tree...they pruned all the branches back to the main trunk a little more than a year ago...it has grown 15 feet/ 5 meters back to 25+ feet again.
Most trees sold here in container are 12 feet/ 3.7 meters or taller for the landscape.

Good heavens, we are lucky if it survives the winter let alone grow that quickly, I dont like all the bare wood, so that is why we prune ours.

Yes, they grow extremely fast here.
Callistemon viminalis - Weeping Bottle Brush has branches which will hang down almost to the ground if not pruned. It's also the tallest growing species to almost 70 feet/ 21 meters tall.
