Now in full bloom

No Valerie I've never cut the flowers - it may work as it would stop the plant using it's energy to produce seed - but then my Hostas are very vigorous and I have to chop them into a manageable size every year and give many pieces away. Probably it likes our high rainfall here.

Beautiful, I`ve bought Hostas for the first time this year, got them in pots with lots of gravel on top to start with as the slugs think my garden is slug paradise.

I think it must be too cold and muddy here for the slugs! Good luck with your Hostas Stroller.

A gardening friend told me that if I cut off the purple flowers on the hosta it will make the plant stronger. I have tried it this year and will see if it makes a difference. Have you ever heard that. I bring the cutting inside and put it in a vase. Looks pretty.
