Living here in the Highlands of Scotland, gardening can be quite a challenge at times, but rewarding too.
I have quite small gardens, front and back, growing shrubs and perennials supplemented by annuals, which I grow from seed. I have a small greenhouse 8'x6' where I raise my seedlings and then usually fill it with tomato plants, cucumbers, peppers etc. When it's empty at the end of summer I plan to buy some cactii which will give me an interest over winter now that I'm retired.
My husband hates gardening, is dragged reluctantly round garden centres and restricts himself to grass cutting, fence painting and other 'manly' jobs.
